Rain

              I love grey days. Did I mention I love grey days? Throw in some rain and I'm just tickled pink.Make it a grey rainy Thursday, oh boy, I am over the moon! My Mom says it's our English heritage coming out in me. I don't know but as far back as I can remember, I have loved rainy Thursdays. Any rainy day is nice. Guess I am just a lil warped. But think about it, its cool, a lite rain is falling on a metal roof ,a comfy blanket and good book just complete the day. A little reading, a little napping, then finish the day with something warm like a bowl of chili or soup. Happy days.

                The days grow shorter, nights longer.Maybe we'll find sleep with more hours to chase it in. lol doubtful but hopeful. Sickness has descended upon us already, the dreaded cold. We call it the creepin crud, it affects each of us differently. We have had our first frost, 34 degrees and a lite dusting on everything. The air is so crisp. As much as I enjoy the heat, the cold has been a welcome relief from my volcanic episodes. This broken thermostat of mine is driving all of us crazy. Its a short trip on a crowded bus.

                   My attempt at SeamstressErins skirt back at the start of summer. It's made from 2 pairs of pants, made a purse from the top of the white inserts.Love them both! It's great with a t-shirt or fancy shirt, it's so comfortable. Lol it's a $2 skirt, both pants were .99 cents. It was a good beginner project for me. Sewing for me is a sorta of battle but I enjoy the battle immensely. My new sewing machine makes things so much easier. I still have my 50's model Kenmore, it's a trooper and I'll keep it because it will still work long after my new one goes kaput.
                  The fairs are in town and Halloween is almost here, welcome to the annual season of HalloThanksMas. This season will carry us all the way through to the New Year. LMBO!!!!!!!! Enjoy the maddening crowds,screaming kids, grumpy adults and forget the Meaning for the seasons while you max out your credit cards. ;)
